I have a background in clinical psychology (PhD, MPsychol) as well as an MA in Education ( Special Education)
I have worked with individual adults as well as children, adolescents and families for over 30 years. I have been employed as a clinician, manager of child, adolescent and family services and as a teacher and university lecturer. I also have extensive experience as a trainer and supervisor in government and non-government agencies.
I am especially interested in how clinicians assist their clients to develop a context for change. I believe that to understand outcomes of therapeutic interactions it is necessary for workers to examine the influence of their own beliefs on the therapeutic process.
